About us

Kelpie Music

We are a production company specialising in two disciplines: MUSICAL PRODUCTION and CREATIVE MIXING. At Kelpie Music we make music for everything and everyone, adapting our skills to any project, no matter how complex.

We operate from an idyllic location in the Scottish Lowlands facing the Ochil Hills, in a small and comfortable personalised studio equipped with all the necessary tools, microphones and instruments to produce high quality work. In addition, we have a extensive database of external professional musicians that can be used if required.

That Kelpie Music is based in the United Kingdom is not a coincidence: when it comes to Western popular music, the UK is the cradle of musical engineering and is synonymous with the highest quality of music production.

Not surprisingly, the most renowned music producers and engineers of all time are British: Andrew Lloyd Webber, Alan Parsons, George Martin, Trevor Horn, Elton John, Mike Oldfield, Brian Eno, Norman Quentin Cook… Recording studios and music schools are also the most prestigious in the world. It is this excellence to which we aspire, in achieving our objectives as providers of music services, and giving our customers complete satisfaction.

Hello, my name is Pedro Jimenez, and I am a professional producer, musician and composer. As head of production in Kelpie Music, I oversee, develop and finalise every single project that comes our way.

My professional experience is extensive in the field of creative mixing:

  • I finished in third position in the Spanish Megamix Championship in 2001. A year later, I was runner-up.
  • I have participated in the production of numerous megamixes for the Spanish and international market, especially for the independent company Blanco y Negro Music – from 2007 to 2014, in its famous sagas Bolero Mix and Ibiza Mix – but also for Universal/Vale Music, Contraseña Records and Discoteca Records, among others.
  • I have worked across the music business as a DJ for more than fifteen years, as well as playing acoustic instruments in several bands, and performing a range of tasks in the broadcasting environment.

In addition, I have a degree in Audiovisual Communication/Media, plus a qualification as Superior Sound Operator, and I have a DipHE in Music Production & Business from the prestigious Point Blank Music School and Middlesex University (London).
